Jamie Merida named Creative Director of Chelsea House

A New Chapter with Chelsea House

Some milestones feel especially meaningful, and this is certainly one of them.

This year marks 10 years since Jamie Merida began designing for Chelsea House, a partnership that has grown from individual product collections into an exciting new role: Jamie has been named Creative Director of Chelsea House.

And the timing couldn’t be better.

This October at High Point Market, Jamie will also debut his 10th collection for Chelsea House, The Jamie Merida Edit — Newly Shaken.

Ten Years of Traditional Made Modern

Jamie began designing for Chelsea House in 2016, bringing with him a lifelong love of antiques, art, interiors and travel. Over the past decade, those influences have shaped a collection of pieces that reflect his signature “Traditional Made Modern” approach—taking familiar forms and giving them new life through color, finish, materials and, every now and then, something completely unexpected.

That same philosophy is behind The Jamie Merida Edit — Newly Shaken.

Created to celebrate this 10-year anniversary, the collection revisits some of the ideas that have defined Jamie’s work with Chelsea House while looking firmly ahead. Think tradition—but loosened up, layered and given a fresh point of view.

From Product to Creative Direction

In his new role as Creative Director, Jamie’s vision will extend beyond individual pieces and collections to the broader creative direction of Chelsea House.

For Jamie, it’s a natural evolution of a relationship that has become an important part of his design career.

“Chelsea House has been an important part of my creative life for the past decade. I have the opportunity to look at the entire space through a designer’s eye—mixing collections, creating moments and showing how these pieces can live together in a way that feels fresh and inspiring.”

That ability to mix old and new—and to respect tradition without taking it too seriously—has always connected Jamie’s product designs with the residential and commercial interiors created by Jamie Merida Interiors and the collected mix found at Bountiful Home in Easton.

See You at High Point

October’s High Point Market will bring all of these pieces together: a new role, a 10-year anniversary and the debut of The Jamie Merida Edit — Newly Shaken.

We can’t wait to share more of the collection—and this next chapter—with you.
